About Global Vipassana Pagoda

The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a meditation dome and monument built to honor the teachings of Buddha. The hollow stone structure contains the world's largest dome without pillars.

History & Significance

Opened in 2009, the pagoda was built over 14 years. It's modeled after the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar and serves as a memorial to S.N. Goenka.
