Nariman Point Mumbai
About
Mumbai's premier business district at the southern tip of the city. Built entirely on reclaimed land in the 1940s-70s, Nariman Point was once India's most expensive commercial real estate. The area features iconic office towers including the Air India Building, Express Towers, and Vidhan Bhavan (state legislature). The seafront promenade offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea, Marine Drive, and Back Bay. The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) at the tip hosts world-class cultural events. During monsoon, massive waves crashing against the sea wall draw crowds of spectators. The area is named after Khurshed Nariman, a freedom fighter and Bombay's first Indian-born Municipal Corporation president.
