Powai Lake is a man-made lake in the Powai Valley, northeast of Mumbai. It was built in 1891 and covers about 520 acres. The lake is near important places like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and nice homes. Many people come here to watch birds because different kinds of migratory birds visit. The path by the lake is a calm place for walking and relaxing.
