Hanging Gardens Mumbai
About
Beautiful terraced gardens on Malabar Hill with panoramic city views. Officially named Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens, these terraced gardens were laid out in 1881 on top of Mumbai's main reservoir on Malabar Hill. The gardens are famous for their whimsical animal-shaped topiary hedges—elephants, giraffes, and other creatures sculpted from living bushes. From the viewing points, visitors enjoy sweeping panoramas of Marine Drive's Queen's Necklace curve, Chowpatty Beach, and the Arabian Sea. The gardens are a popular morning walking destination for Malabar Hill's residents. Across the road sits Kamala Nehru Park with its iconic Old Woman's Shoe structure, making both parks an ideal combined visit.
