About

Premier museum showcasing Indian art, archaeology, and natural history. Formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum, this Indo-Saracenic architectural masterpiece was designed by George Wittet and completed in 1922. The building features a grand dome, ornate arches, and beautifully landscaped gardens with rare palm species. Inside, the collection spans over 50,000 artifacts including Harappan civilization relics, Mughal miniature paintings, European oil paintings, a natural history section with taxidermy specimens, and an impressive arms and armor gallery.
