Hanging Gardens, also known as Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens, are terraced gardens atop Malabar Hill. The gardens offer panoramic views of Mumbai's skyline and the Arabian Sea. Famous for topiary work shaped like animals.

History & Significance

Built in 1881 over Bombay's main reservoir to cover the water from the sun's rays. Named after Sir Pherozeshah Mehta, a former mayor of Mumbai.
